Day of event details

Race Location - The River Barn!

The race starts and ends at one of the most popular trail heads in the BORCA network. The River Barn is located at 22 Fletcher Road. (Corner of Fletcher Rd and Grantsettlement Rd). This restaurant/pub is a popular place for riders to enjoy the Lorne Rapids/Roche Fendu section of the Ottawa River. (Yes, it's a converted Dairy Barn)! If you have non riders coming to cheer you on, they can enjoy a sweet hike and views of the rapids and purchase small menu items/ice cream/drinks.

Parking

Park will be well signed upon arrival. Please watch for the Marshalls.

Sign In - 8:00-9:50am

Please check in at the River Barn for your race plate, timing chip, post race food and drink voucher, AND YOUR BORCA SOCKS! Also, check out the prize table to see if you won a door prize!

60km race begins at 9:00am (Sign in 8am -8:50)

Food & Drink

Our famous BBQ lunch is included with your race, but other food items/menu will be available to order at the River Barn during the event and bar is open!

Post ride lunch is a BBQ pork loin meal with salads, baked beans and buns! Veggie/Vegan option available.

Course Descriptions

30km Course: Mostly red pine plantation in true intermediate level single track. Moderate roots and few rocks except for the odd pile of stones from old farmlands (optional ride-around). Terrain is mostly flat. 60/40 single track/gravel road. 1 to 2 aid stations along the way, fully stocked with drinks/food. (10am Mass Start). Perfect for the whole family.

NEW THIS YEAR!!

35km Course: Basically the second half of the 60km race course with more technical, steeper and rockier single track mixed with ATV/double track. This course features most of our single track including the Algonquin Pass and Wilderness Tours bike park single track sections. Advanced level single track (black diamond and blue square) on classic style single track. 90/10 single track/ATV double track. 2 aid stations along the way, fully stocked with drinks/food. (9:30am Mass Start). For the experienced riders!

60km Course: Starts off with the 30km route, then becomes progressively more technical, with steeper and rockier single track mixed with ATV/double track. This course features most of our single track including the Algonquin Pass and Wilderness Tours bike park single track sections. Advanced level singlet track (black diamond and blue square) on classic style single track. 80/20 single track/ATV double track. 3-4 aid stations along the way, fully stocked with drinks/food. (9am Mass Start)

What to bring

We will have on course aid stations with water/snacks, but you are expected to be self sufficient during the ride with your own tubes/pumps/tools/rain gear/bug spray/first aid/cell phone. Carry water at all times.

Accommodations

Hotel: The Whitewater Inn. Locked garage bike storage and sauna onsite. Healthy self serve breakfast included with your stay.

Camping & Campers: Wilderness Tours has camp sites and full RV hook ups plus cabins. Wilderness Tours and OWL.
